Technology

Here you will find a collection of links to sites of technology developers and distributors of applications that you might find useful.

I make no warranty as to the appropriateness of any of the apps listed here, but they work for me, so I hope they work for you too. BTW the marketing blurbs come direct from the developer and all names, logos, images & software are owned by their respective proprietors.

Please email me with any further suggestions of any handy applications.

PGP Desktop Security

One of my favourites at the moment. Introduced to me by an encryption expert, this program enables you to create secure private and public keys for the purpose of encrypting / decrypting emails. Also, a great feature for anyone who has had their PC / laptop stolen, this software enables you to create a password protected virtual disk drive, in which you can file sensitive / private / all your data. Once the virtual disk drive is closed then it can only be opened via password.

It also has a built in firewall to prevent unauthorised access to your PC via the net.

PGP stands for Pretty Good Privacy!
